William Monroe was born on October 19, 1977, in Fort Pierce Florida and departed on November 30, 2025, at the age of 48.

He was son to Sandra Monroe and William Melton. He was grandson to Retired Rev. Eugene and Genova Monroe. He graduated from Port Saint Lucie High School and continued at Indian River State College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree. William continued to expand his skills by completing culinary courses and obtaining a security certification. William finally took on a position as a mental health technician to support patients with needs.

Shortly before passing, William aspired to create a business to help patients with transportation to get back and forth from dialysis and any other medical appointments. William did not allow his medical condition to stop him, but it provided an opportunity to seek the needs of others.

Everyone knew that he loved to dress his best no matter where he was going or doing. Fashion was his first best friend. He will truly be missed but forever in our hearts.

Left to cherish his precious memories is the love of his life: Garcia Morris; children: Christina Tolbert and Zendaya Reid; mother: Sandra Monroe; fathers: William Melton and Tommie Burns, Jr.; grandparents: Retired Reverend Eugene Monroe and Genova Monroe; sisters: Ieshia Burns and Consuela Burns; brother: Tommie Burns III; aunts and uncles: Wanda Monroe-Dykes (Henry Lou), Eugene Monroe, Jr. (Dewana); cousins: Money Monroe (Patrice), Vegas Monroe (Nadine), Diamond Monroe-Lockwood (Dexter); great uncle: Alex Tullis; best friend: Marvin Sol; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him.
