Wallace
Glenn
May 15, 1959 — Apr 7, 2024
Havana
Wallace, aged 65 and affectionately known as "Son," was born on May 15, 1959, in Cairo, Georgia, to the late Clarence and Lily Mae Glenn. He peacefully transitioned into eternity on April 7, 2024. From a young age, Wallace embraced faith and remained a steadfast believer throughout his life, drawing strength from his spiritual convictions.
Wallace was renowned for his caring nature, embodying the roles of a devoted husband, loving father, the heart of social gatherings, and a steadfast friend to many. His upbringing in the tobacco fields and local jobs instilled in him a profound work ethic, which he carried into his professional life, spending numerous years as a skilled laborer in the construction industry.
On February 12, 1988, Wallace exchanged vows with Corenza Blocker, embarking on a journey filled with love, devotion, challenges and hardships. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his stepchildren: Demetrius Blocker of New York, Lashonda Ross (Charles Ross) of Nebraska, Clemente Blocker of Fort Lauderdale, Bernard Brinson of Fort Lauderdale, and his daughter Corendis Hinds (Piankhy Hinds) of Fort Lauderdale, FL, as well as nine adored grandchildren.
In addition to his immediate family, Wallace is fondly remembered by his Aunt Ruth Wilson of Thomasville, GA, sister Lois Bradwell of Havana, FL, sisters-in-law Sharon Blocker, Telisa Moore McCandies, Mary Blocker Williams, brother-in-law Arthur Blocker and Taurus Blocker, along with a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.
Wallace is reunited in eternal peace with his brothers MacArthur Glenn, Ray Charles Glenn, Clarence Glenn Jr., sisters Rebecca Glenn, Cora Glenn, and Lily Ruth Maines. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
