Lucious McNair, Jr. Obituary

Mr. Lucious McNair, Jr., 84, a devoted truck driver and lifelong farmer, peacefully transitioned on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Tallahassee, Florida.

A native of Havana, Florida, Mr. McNair was a faithful member and devoted deacon of Mt. Moriah #1 Missionary Baptist Church in Climax, Georgia. He lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and dedication to his family. He was a man who labored with his hands, loved with his heart and trusted in the Lord throughout his life's journey.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: four sons, Ondrie McNair, Darryl McNair, Quentin McNair, and Antonio (Jackie) Andrews; five daughters, Genefer (Jeffrey) Rollins, Angela Henry, Cassandra McNair, Alvita Perry, and Jacquelin McNair; and two godchildren, Mariah Wiggs and Michael Wiggs.

He is also survived by two sisters, Myra (Bobby) Gurley and Lillie Pearl Adams; a stepbrother, Larry (Hettie) Mitchell; five brothers-in-law, John Henry (Denise) Wester, Leonard (Shirley) Clark, Sr., Mikalen Clark, Duane (Sonia) Clark, and Dwight Jenkins; and five sisters-in-law, Leola Williams, Gwendolyn Smith, Cynthia Clark, Linda (Jimmy) Jackson, and Gwendolyn Gary.

His legacy continues through his 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious McNair, Sr. and Ester Clara Horton McNair; his beloved wife, Doris Jenkins McNair; his daughter, Brenda McNair; his sister, Mary Alice Smiley; his brother, Leroy McNair.

Though he has departed this earthly life, we take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. His life, his labor and his love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.
