Julia Bell Herring was born June 6, 1953 to the late Charles Walker, Sr. and the late Lillian Lucille Herring in Havana, Florida. Julia accepted Christ at an early age and joined Old Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a member of the Hospitality Committee.  As a caregiver, she cared for many of the family and community children.  Julia enjoyed life to the fullest and had a special love for people.

Julia received her education in the Gadsden County Public School graduating from Havana Northside High School in 1973.  She received her certificate in Agriculture and CNA at Lively Vocational Technical Institute Tallahassee, FL. Julia was employed at Sunnyland, Tallahassee, Florida as a CNA, she worked at Butler's Dry Cleaners for many years.  Eventually she was employed by the Gadsden County Public School as a Bus Driver until she retired.

Julia  leaves precious memories and endless love in the hearts of her son, Mario Harris, Sr., Havana, FL; daughter,  NaSasha Thomas, Tallahassee, FL; three sisters, Maxine Herring, Ira Dean Herring, and Lillian Walker, Havana, FL,; one brother, Charles Walker,Jr., Valdosta, GA;  five grandchildren, Mario Harris, Jr, Tylan Harris, Nyla Thomas, Makayla Conaway, Tallahassee, FL., Daija Harris,  Leanna Harris, Havana, FL;  six greatgrands, Serenity Harris, Serena Harris, Waldorf, MD, Amira Harris, Havana, FL, Kali Harris, Tallahassee, FL; (Daija 2 kids)  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
