A TIME FOR BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD
Born on September 28, 1961 in Amsterdam (Decatur County), Georgia,  Barbara Ann was the second of eight children between the late Mrs. Willie "Queen " Esther Derico Wright and the late Mr. Jimmie Lee Jackson,  Sr. and she was her mother's fifth child. Due to a misprint, the Federal Government later listed her name as Bobby Ann.
She grew up in the Amsterdam, Georgia community and later moved with her family to Havana,  Florida in 1976.

A TIME FOR EDUCATION

She attended Lillian E. Williams Elementary School in Attapulgus, Georgia, Bainbridge High School, in Bainbridge, Georgia, and graduated from Havana Northside High School in Havana  (Gadsden County), Florida in 1979. She received her certification as a Daycare/Childcare  Worker from Tallahassee Community College in 2008.

A TIME FOR FAITH AND CHURCH
At an early age, While living in Amsterdam, Georgia, she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized and joined Smith Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the late Reverend S.E. Ealey where she served as a Junior Usher and sang in the Junior choir.
One Sunday afternoon in February 2022 while her brother Reverend Dr Charles Grice was ministering at the nursing home, Barbara received Christ in her life as Savior and Lord with the baptism of the Holy Ghost; thereby, assuring her home in Heaven.

A TIME FOR EMPLOYMENT
Barbara was a great homemaker for her only child, DeRon and worked several jobs before eventually becoming employed as a Childcare Worker at The Gingerbread House Christian Academy in Tallahassee. She delighted in preparing and organizing mealtimes and snacks for children, attending to their needs while helping to foster their early development. She helped younger children prepare for kindergarten and assisted older children with homework.Barbara enjoyed most of all, working as a Childcare Worker until her failing health (in 2013) prevented her from furthering her career with her "babies."

A TIME FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
♡Barbara Ann was the proud mother of one child, DeRon M. Robinson. She Always Had a great love for her family and enjoyed cooking and hosting family dinners, especially on Thanksgiving Day. Her family really bragged about her meatloaf and potato salad, of which they couldn't seem to get enough.
♡ As a young girl, she used to say " I am my Mama's finest and prettiest child." The older she grew, the more she looked and acted like her mother. She always seemed to have a " motherly heart" for her siblings. During her last days spent at Heritage Healthcare Center, now Aspire of Tallahassee, She always asked "How my children doing?" and she never failed to call everyone's name. Bobbie Ann enjoyed face timing and making and sending videos to her family. When you visited her or did anything for her she would always say "preciate you."
